Sheworked her way up and became the VP External affairs.In the middle of school year in 2007, Orode started her own foundation called Pink PearlFoundation (www.pinkpearl-foundation.org) where they aid Nigerian women who havebreast and cervical cancer. The foundation is focused at reducing the mortality rate causedby Breast and Cervical cancer by creating awareness around the nation. They have graduallybeen able to reach a lot of women in the past 9 years by concerts, seminars, campaigns,rallies, school and market tours, radio and television programs. With over 95 events doneacross Nigeria, Cameroon and South Africa and over 10,000 women screened for free and20,000 women who have gained from their vast awareness campaigns, PPF is no doubt theno1 pioneer of the fight against breast cancer in Nigeria, getting help from experiencedDoctors who deliver good information on cancer and also give free screening and treatment.Orode is making a lot of effort to keep up the work she started in 2007 and help the womenin this country be someday cancer free. To help further her awareness campaign Orodeproduced a movie called Living Funeral, a breast cancer awareness based movie that hassince its release gotten a lot of attention from across the globe, including 8 nominations atthe 2014 Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards, Official selected movie at the PANAFRICANfilm festival in Los Angeles 2014, African Film Festival NY 2014, Durban FilmFestival Durban 2014, Short Film Corner Cannes 2014, Zimbabwe International FilmFestival 2014, Lights Camera Africa Film Festival 2014, Bahamas Film Festival 2014, CNNTop 9 Africa most watch movies of 2014 (Durban Film Festival), Nominee Short Filmcategory, Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) 2014, Nominee Best Short Film forBest of Nollywood Awards 2014 and Nominee Best Short Film Africa Movie AcademyAwards (AMAA) 2014.Diverting from breast cancer awareness, Orode started a Women Empowerment Schoolwhere she is a Director at the Rubies School of Vocational Studies, opened in 2013, hasaided 235 women in becoming entrepreneurs and business owners, by teaching them skillsin different areas, e.g. catering, fashion and design etc. With a charity arm called RubiesSchool of Women Empowerment, a few less privileged women are aided with materials tohelp set up their business after the school year. The School is also actively involved in Financial literacy training and SME’s establishment and has successfully aided hundreds ofwomen and youths in growing their already existing business or starting new ones. She alsostarted an orphanage campaign in 2010 in partnership with Oaken Events Limited, tagged“GIVEAWAY”, this campaign was created to help less privilege children, gain educationbut most importantly have the basic needs of life and that gave birth to the children group“Kingdom Kids”. The program has successfully attended to 15,300 children across Lagosand Delta state.During her National Youth Service Year (NYSC) Year in 2009, she gained experience in thebusiness sector by working for Vantgarde Limited with a few courses in ProjectManagement at the Lagos Business School and a certificate from the Euro money trainingteam Kenya on Project Finance and Public Private Partnership. She was able to improve herknowledge in the business world and is now CEO/Co- Founder of Exclusive Brands Africa(EBA) (www.ebafrica.com) a conglomerate responsible for importing known internationalconsumer and non-consumer brands into Africa.
